Five for Friday – Lip Balms

With the winter weather on it’s way out, chapped lips need to be on the way out too. The only problem? That’s much easier said than done. To get soft lips you need to to exfoliate and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. The key to picking a good lip balm is finding one with the best ingredients typically shea butter, vitamin E, and jojoba oil. Lucky for all of you I took the guesswork out of it, here’s my top 5 picks for spring.

1. eos Lip Balm

Why it rocks – The balm is certified organic, 100% natural, and paraben free. The main moisturizing ingredients include jojoba oil, shea butter, and vitamin E. The packaging is definitely worth mentioning too, the sphere shape is efficient and unique. Another perk? Gossip Girl cutie, Ed Westwick also uses it!

2. Fresh Sugar Lip Balm

Why it rocks – I have been using this for years, and I keep coming back to it again and again. It has a delicious scent and a luxurious texture. Free radicals watch out this balm also includes vitamins A, C, and E to keep you all at bay.

3. L’Occitane Shea Butter Stick

Why it rocks – This is pure Shea Butter, it feels amazing on the lips. An added plus is that its also great for people like me with sensitive skin. I also like to use this on any other dry spots I have, its especially great for dry elbows.

4. Tarte FRXtion

Why it rocks – Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a scrub and balm in one? Oh wait, there is. The balm tastes like vanilla and lasts for hours. the sugar scrub side is one of the best lip exfoliants I’ve ever used.

5. Bliss Problem Salved

Why it rocks – This handy stick can do everything from moisturize dry lips to soothing a rash. It’s a wonder product, that features vitamins A,C, and E, as well as tea tree oil, and mango butter.
